Good day Staff and Cadets;
18 Sea Cadet Corps - RCSCC Vanguard are currently preparing for loading the upcoming BARQ (Basic Amateur Radio Qualification) course. This course is open to Canadian Cadets, Cadet Officers/Civs intending on becoming an Operator, or Communications Officer at a licensed Cadets Canada Unit Station.
The course will be conducted one night per week (Sundays) for a duration of approximately 20 weeks.
The course Starts Sunday 01 October 2023 and is conducted by ZOOM and the Normal timings are 1730 - 2100 EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) weekly. Class starts at 1800 sharp. An email is sent to each course participant as a reminder and log on instructions.
This course prepares students for the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) Basic Qualification Level Operator Certificate exam to operate on allocated Amateur Radio frequencies.
